Rudie : Foster (with a view to adopt)
EXPERIENCED FOSTER WITH A VIEW TO ADOPT
Please do read all the following information fully before considering to apply for Rudie,if you do match the requirements,do not apply
Rudie is based in BristolPost Code Area BS35 ,we would expect the potential fosters to travel and carry out several meet and greets
Rudie we cannot stress enough us dearly loved by his owners but they are find it more and more stressful dealing with some of Rudie’s behaviour
The gentleman of the household has become Rudie’s person ,and this has made things very challenging for the whole family, this shows by Rudie barking at his human Daddy for constant attention
This behaviour started at a young age and has progressed further
The gentleman worked from home a while ,then went back to work doing various shift work,we believe this could be another factor in Rudie’s behaviour ,as he waited on alert for Daddy to come home ,but was always at different times so confused the poor boy
Also the family moved a few months ago,so another huge change for Rudie
Rudie’s behaviour has been diagnosed by a behaviourist as over attachment anxiety to the gentleman of the household.
We like to point out that if Rudie is at home with his human Mummy ,there is no anxiety at all,he will play, and sleep whilst she works.
No other issues when he has stayed with other family members
The family have got an older calmer dog,but with the barking and behaviour ,they feel Rudie needs to be an only dog ,due to his attention needs
Rudie has not shown any aggressive traits ,never bitten, but can gentle mouth when over excited
No resource guarding and can be left a number of hours per day
It has been a very stressful time for the family but they feel ,they have tried many sources and feel Rudie would be best suited as an only dog , in a different environment to ease his stress levels, this was not an easy decision for them both

Rudie is a water baby likes to splash around in any water
Favourite things :- He likes a scatter of food in the garden and a kong. He will play fetch with balls and toys. He likes any hard toy he can chew on (coffeewood), rope, hoops etc. He will destroy soft toys (teddies)
Note from his lovely owners
Rudie is a very loving and happy dog. We believe his attachment anxiety to myself are fixable and arent likley to transfer to a new person, but we unfortantley are not in the position finanically to support this and we also both work full time and worry that our lifestyle is playing a part in his behaviour. We feel a home where he has lots of space and someone who can be with him either at home or out more often than not would suit his needs well. He also may benefit from being an only dog where attention and focus is on him, this was also suggested to us by a vet
All potential applicants will be requested to have a full vetting and homecheck
If you are happy to give a reference this would be much appreciated
If you live in rented accommodation we will require documentation that a dog can live in this property
