Meet Murphy
Type Bernedoodle
DOB July 2024
Colour Tri Coloured
Height 21 inches might still have a bit of growing to do
Weight 24 Kgs
Booster due October 2025
No known allergies and in good health
Grooming
Murphy has a soft curly coat, which his owners keep short
He only sheds minimally,as all dogs shed some amount
Happy to be brushed at home every few days
Attends a Professional Groomers every 8 to 10 weeks
Exercise
Murphy loves his walks ,and has two good walks per day, plus playtime in his garden
He does sometimes pull on his lead ,especially when he sees other dogs and gets giddy with excitement (we do recommend some loose lead training)
His recall is variable at times ,as he gets easily distracted (would benefit with some training going forward)
We do not recommend allowing Murphy off lead unless you are 100% trusting with his recall.
Our suggestion would be to hire safe secure dog paddocks and practice recall ,these are around £6 for 1/2 an hour
Interaction with other dogs :- He is very excitable and keen to interact with other dogs; no aggression, just keen to sniff and play
Further Information
Murphy is a typical young dog, full of fun,a bit giddy and a goofball, very loving ,can be a bit of a mischief maker, lively energetic, does bounce, loves the attention to be petted and enjoys playing games with his owners
Murphy is good with adults and children ,but will get over excited ,all giddy and may jump and bounce
He needs to time to settle himself and calm down, then he is fine
Behaviour:- Murphy needs to be better socialised. Because of recent family issues stated above ,he has not encountered as many other people as his family would have liked ,he also may bark at unexpected noises
Counter surfer ,a boy who just loves any food by the sounds of things
On two occasions Murphy has bitten, not intentionally ,after he stole a large block of cheese/piece of banana cake .
Murphy bit his human Daddy when he put his hand in his mouth ,and tried to retrieve the food.
He does not guard his normal kibble or toys.
He has never shown any form of aggression to other dogs or people
Murphy’s general obedience is ok we are informed, but would certainly benefit with some extra training
Murphy is mostly toilet trained ,but he has been known to have the occasional accident (this just maybe due to some anxiousness within the family dynamics, dogs can pick up on things and react in different forms)
He sleeps in the kitchen but has access to the dinning area
(with newly rehomed dogs we ask you sleep nearby the first few nights as they will be unsettle with the change of environment)
Murphy can be left alone for a few hours whilst you attended appointments,or go shopping etc
Only been destructive in the home when he was a small puppy ,whilst he was teething
Never been crated
Travels well in the car
Dislikes :- Reactive to sudden noises ,with the noise reaction he with jump up
Likes :- Playing with his toots and tug of war
Not a huge fan of the water
Note from Murphy’s owner

I just wish it could be us.It will break our heart to give him up, but what is best for Murphy is the only thing that matters. I hope you will be able to help.
