Introducing Betsy

Betsy is located in Halifax ,Post Code area HX3
We likes to rehome Betsy not too far away,as she has become anxious in th3 car
NOTE the potential applicant will be requested to travel to carry out as many meet and greets as requested.
DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CANNOT MEET THESE REQUESTS
Betsy is totally adored by her current owners,and they have found this decision very hard to accept to rehome her.
But with personal circumstances within the family they have to put Betsy’s needs before their own.
This is a sensitive rehome so please be 100% sure before applying for Betsy.
Our Requirements are as follows :-
Active and energetic household ,with people at home though out the day ,as Betsy does suffer with separation anxiety
Persons to actively do some extra socialisation /training with Betsy,taking her to Cafe’s ,shops and public places
She has experienced these places ,but takes time to settle as likes to investigate throughly
She also still will jump up at some people on occasions ,so this is something that might need some positive attention
Can live with ONE other dog ,with no behavioural issues,you must be prepared to travel ,for as many meet and greets as required
Betsy can live with respectful children aged 10 and over
No cats ,this means no cats at all
Your garden must be secure ,if you have gates they must have a lock
If you have a deep pond we request it is covered
Check you have no toxic plants or vegetables
If you have any holidays planned,please state on your application form

Grooming Requirements
Betsy has a soft wavy coat,sheds minimally as all dogs shed some amount
Is brushed every morning which she likes
Bathed at home when required
Attends a Professional Groomers every 8 weeks
Exercise
Betsy has two walks every day, each lasting approx 60 minutes , she runs on the long lead
Additional exercise on occasions
Her recall is good in a safe and secure environment,ie a hired dog paddock
We do not recommend any newly adopted dog should be off lead,until such times you are all confident and trust their recall
Betsy may pull on her lead,for the first 5 minutes of her daily walks ,as she is so excited at the prospect of going out. Also if she sees a squirrel or a cat
This young doodle girl interacts very well with other dogs,loves to play
Further information
Betsy is your typical doodle ,loves human interaction and bonding
Lively, bouncy and playful. Loves sniffing and investigating everything she can on a walk
Behaviour:- On one occasion she jumped at a jogger who appeared silently from behind ,owners Husband was walking Betsy at the time
On one occasion upset the postman by jumping and barking at him at the front door
Never bitten or been aggressive ,but gets very excited as by her behaviour stated above
Her obedience is excellent ,has attended many training classes ,over the time the owners have had her ,great for bonding
Betsy is toilet trained ,but we always like to state accidents may occur with any dog entering a new environment
She likes to sleep on the floor in her owners bedroom at night
Betsy has never been left on her own ,as her parents are always with her
Never been destructive in her home
Not crate trained
Car travel :- Betsy used to love travelling in the car,even travelled to South of France when she was 18 months old
Recently she has become a little anxious in the car
She sits on a bed ,on the back seat in a car safety harness
Betsy likes to paddle in water,unknown if she can swim
Betsy dislikes cats
Favourite toys or games :- Anything to do with a ball, a rubber squeaky Christmas cracker.
Betsy is a strong dog that loves the outdoors and has endless energy
What we are looking for ,would be persons who can meet with her need for exercise ,and play
A large garden would be great ,as she loves to just run
Betsy does not like being left and can become quite anxious
Her owners just want what Betsy deserves in a loving caring home,as she is truly a wonderful girl
All potential applicants will be requested to abide by having a fully vetting and a visual homecheck
If you live in rented accommodation we will require documentation,that a dog can live in in this home
The adoption fee for Betsy is £200.00 ,this goes back into the charity
