Archie : Ready for adoption

Adorable Archie is looking for his furever home

His owners are breaking their hearts having made this very hard decision for their boy

Archie is very much loved,but due to ill health within his family his owners are struggling with bringing up such a young dog

Archie is a big lad and walking him has become difficult for them,he also is a big highly energetic goofball,that needs some extra training

He also lives with several cats and he is not allowing the cats any peace,he likes to chase them

Doodle Aids Requirements

Not suitable for a first time Doodle owner

Archie needs a home with people willing to put in training

He is a very active,bouncy dog ,so only apply if you are fit & able ,have the time/energy to exercise and care for a young dog for the rest of his lifetime

Will consider placing Archie in a home with ONE OTHER CALM DOG which must be spayed or neutered

We will only place Archie in a home with children aged 12 and over

No cats as Archie chases cats

No full time workers,Archie needs person or persons at home with him

He has never been left home alone !!!

You must have a safe and secure average sized garden,if you have gates they must have a lock

Absolutely no showboating Archie the first week,this means only allowing him to settle with you ,in his new home ,before overwhelming him with visitors

Never allow a newly rescued dog off lead,until you have put all the training in place with recall,this is very important

Height 21 inches ( NOTE will still have some growth spurts)

Weight 26 Kgs (NOTE will still gain weight whilst growing)

Booster vaccination due May 2026

Up to date with flea/tick and worming treatment

No known allergies

Grooming

Archie has a soft wavy/curly coat,he does shed minimally ,as all dogs shed some amount

He is brushed daily and does not mind being brushed ,a treat or two might help the process too

Attends a Professional Groomers every 4 weeks at present

Archie is very well cared for with his grooming routines

Exercise

Archie has two walks a day

NOTE to new owners do not over walk Archie his bones are still growing

No high impact ball games,or allowing him to jump high etc

No running up and downstairs

This is all very important for his young bones to remain strong for his future

Archie is only off lead in secure hired safe pre paid doggy paddock

His recall needs so attention,we would advise joining a puppy/dog training class

Archie is a bit of a puller on his lead,again some training ,with loose lead walking will benefit Archie and his new owners.

Further Information

Archie is your typical young highly active,energetic,hyper goofball of a doodle

He is only young still experiencing and exploring the world

He can still mouth ,but not in an aggressive manner,he may suck your clothing like a puppy sucks from his Mum from time to time

He will lay his head on you and paws when he is relaxed and chilled

Archie wants nothing more than be your friend but he is high strung ,a bouncy ,attention seeker who loves to love and please

He does not always know his own strength,a bit like a bull in a china shop,but harmless just clumsy goofster

Archie is toilet trained ,but we do state with any new dog entering a new environment ,accidents may occur

Archie sleeps in his own dog bed at night ( please do settle him with yourself nearby the first few nights) new,y rescued dogs can get very upset with being alone and the change around them

Archie has never been left on his own in his home

So we need his new owners ,to spend time allowing him to be alone for short periods of time

This will take time and patience,and management

Archie has had a nibble on the sofa in his home ,please be aware he is still only young

Do provide him items to enrich his little teeth and to keep him occupied and out of mischief making

Archie has never been crate trained

Travels well in the car ,a car restraint must be used on any dog travelling please

His owners have not found anything Archie is scared of as yet

He has never been in the water to swim,so this is unknown

Archie loves his toys and balls

After speaking with Archie’s owners we know how hard this is for them.

So we need to find the perfect home for their big loveable hyper,affectionate goofy puppy.

We made a promise and will stick to our promise as always ,Doodle Aid is here for them all

If you live in rented accommodation, we will require documentation that a dog can live in your property

You will be expected to have a full vetting and a homecheck including producing ID
