Fred

Fred found himself in need a new forever home. Stuart, Neil and Bill initially took Fred in as foster as he needed to moved urgently. It soon became clear that Fred wasn’t going anywhere, he and Bill had become inseparable! So, Fred went on to be adopted by Stuart and Neil and DoodleAid couldn’t be happier.

Fred has wonderful life with them all and couldn’t be happier. Thank you to you all.

Stuart and Neil had this to say

‘We had been thinking for a while Bill, our 2-year-old Cavapoo would like a friend although were nervous at the thought of 2 dogs. At the beginning of a week off work we saw Fred, a 2-year-old Cockapoo on the DoodleAid Facebook page who was looking for a foster and forever home. He was adorable and we knew immediately we wanted to, at the very least, foster him. We contacted Sarah McAllister offering our services. She very quickly arranged a home visit so she could make sure Fred would be in a safe environment and we were up to the task. We were lucky enough to be able to collect Fred the next day. Having been an ‘only doodle’ for 2 years we were apprehensive of Bills acceptance of Fred, but it couldn’t have gone smoother. They were immediately best of friends. We were supplied with Fred’s belongings, his favourite toy, blanket, food etc and all his vets’ history and paperwork. That afternoon and for the days after Sarah was in contact to make sure we were getting on ok, and to let us know if we needed her she was there. It soon became clear we couldn’t let Fred go, he fitted in to his new home amazingly, everyone who meets him loves him, he and Bill are joined at the hip and are constantly playing/dashing and most of all, napping together. We think ourselves so lucky to have found Fred and to be able to look after him knowing there is support there if needed. I tell everyone who says they are looking for a dog about DoodleAid, as I know they will be so happy with the process they will be helped through, and the feeling of knowing you have been able to help a doodle is amazing’
