Background

Rocky is dearly loved by his current owners and they have really found it heartbreaking to come to this decision to rehome him. Sadly they cannot give him the exercise he so requires and it’s not fair on Rocky.

They are putting Rocky’s needs before their own and have trusted DoodleAid to find him the best forever home.

Requirements

We are looking for a home with fit and active persons as Rocky is a large energetic young boy.

Rocky needs to be the only dog in the household. No cats.

Can live with children age 10 and over.

No full time workers please.

Rocky will require a home with a medium to large garden. Garden need to be safe and secure, fences at least 6 foot. If you have back gates they will need to have a secure lock on them.

Exercise

Rocky gets about 1/2 an hour daily, his owners are struggling to walk him as they have personal issues.

Once he is rehomed his exercise will need to be built up daily as he loves his walks.

His recall is good, but remember he needs 100% trust with his new owners before allowing him off lead.

We are told he does not pull on his lead.

Interacts with most dogs well whilst out on his walks.

Likes & Dislikes

Likes: His favourite thing in the world is his ball.

Dislikes: His owners report no notable dislikes or fears.

Rocky has a straight to wavy coat. He does shed so do consider this if you have any allergies.

Whilst brushing at home he likes to be rewarded with treats.

Attends a professional groomers every 8 to 10 weeks.

Rocky can be a little bouncy when new people enter the home, but he quickly calms down. He loves cuddles and attention and is a well-mannered doodle.

He has never shown any aggression and has never bitten.

Rocky has been well socialised since puppyhood.

He is fed a raw diet and has two meals per day.

Rocky is toilet trained, though any dog may have the occasional accident when settling into a new environment.

He sleeps in the owners’ lounge at night and has never been destructive in the home.

He can be left for around three hours per day.

Rocky is not crate trained.

He travels well in the car; we advise using a safety harness or seatbelt strap.

He has been in the water occasionally, though not often.

Rocky is a wonderful doodle who adores attention but also enjoys his chill time. He will make someone a very loyal companion.
