Finn is a shy, affectionate, and playful dog who loves gentle people, other dogs, paddling in water, and chasing toys.
Handsome Finn is a much loved family member, due to very personal circumstances within his family he is looking for his forever home.
They have owned Finn since he was 4 months old and took him to puppy training classes. At his training class he gained his good citizenship with flying colours.
Finn can be nervous around some men, will take time to gain his trust. Dislikes teenagers wearing their hoodies up, owner believes this maybe due to his past (breeders).
Due to Finn’s shyness he can loose his confidence in situations. He likes to be ignored until he comes round. He will walk in busy places, noisy places and sit in pubs and cafes. Travels brilliantly, has even been on boats.
Finn is pretty well socialised and would like this to continue.
Will bark at people coming to the front door.
Finn needs an active home as he is an energetic little fella.
No full time workers.
Can live with another dog. Not cat tested and we cannot test him.
Children over the age of 10.
Garden needs to be safe and secure, gates must have locks.
Absolutely no showboating for at least the first week, allow him to settle with you in his new home.
Exercise
He’s an active lad. Loves to run and play. Gets a between 40 minutes to an hour per day. Really loves his walks so you need to be fit and active yourselves.
His recall is good sometimes other times indifferent, we would suggest some training would be an advantage. No newly adopted dog should be allowed off lead unless you have full trust in them, so please bare this in mind.
Finn does pull on his lead, his owners currently use a figure of eight lead. We would suggest some loose lead training would be beneficial.
Whilst out and about, if meeting other dogs he can get excited and bounce around, he just wants to play.
Likes: Finn enjoys throwing a ball or apple for himself and chasing it. He loves playing with other dogs, including wrestling and doing zoomies
Dislikes: Teenage boys wearing hoodies

Finn is a shy and nervous dog, likely due to his early background, as his owners did not purchase him until he was four months old.
He arrived as a nervous boy, and his owners have done marvellously to socialise him to the confident dog he was on the day he arrived.
He is a stunning chap and very affectionate. He has never been aggressive or bitten and is a very submissive boy.
Finn prefers ladies and girls. With males, he will gain confidence over time once he gets to know them.

Treats: Avoid meat and fish treats.
Finn is toilet trained, though accidents may occur in a new or unfamiliar environment.
He sleeps in his owners’ bedroom at night and is crate trained. His crate is his safe space. When his owners go out, he is crated to prevent raiding the bins.
He can be left for short periods, no longer than 2 to 3 hours, as he dislikes being on his own for too long.
He is non-destructive in the home. As a younger dog, he chewed a few items.
