Meet Cooper
Cooper
You will be expected to travel,to carry out a meet and greets
Cooper is a much loved family member ,it’s been a heartbreaking decision the family have had to make for their boy. Cooper is a lively yet obedient dog. He has a very strong attachment to his female owner which causes problems with the children. He struggles when when children try to stroke him, they want to love him and stroke him but he shows signs that he is not comfortable with that. He only seems comfortable with attention from adults, especially in the home. Outside the home, he will happily play fetch with the children. He often growls at the children when they approach him, which is something that they thought/hoped would stop but it hasn't and they have to address this and put their children first. He would benefit from being in an adult only home, quieter environment for him to relax
Behaviour
Cooper has some issues around food and high value treats
We would suggest not giving him any long lasting treats
He guards his food bowl, for a short time after he has eaten ,and will growl if you go near him whilst he is eating
Please allow Cooper to eat his food in a peaceful area and allow him to walk away from his bowl, before approaching to pick it up
Cooper will bark when the door bell rings ,or loud noises outside
Doodle Aid is happy to put a Dog Specialist in place after the settling in period
