Duke : Now adopted

We need to find a foster before a certain date ,so this is our priority at present it’s urgent.

Location Rugby , Postcode area CV22 ,must be willing to travel to do meet and greets ,possibly several times before fostering.

Please read carefully before applying

Duke is looking for a foster placement with a view to adopt in the future.

We will consider rehoming with “ONE”other dog, your dog must be of a good solid temperament, calm in nature, with no behaviour issues.

If your dog is a male ,we will ask for proof he has been neutered and if a bitch she has been spayed.

Can live with children we are recommending ages 10 upwards ,as Duke still get excited and may jump up and accidentally knock a small child over.

No cats

We will require you to have a safe and secure garden, fences and walls 6ft max,if you have gates we expect them to have a lock.

Sorry no communal gardens

As a charity we do not allow foster dogs to attend doggy day care, this is in-line with our insurance cover.

If at anytime you should require a dog walker or dog sitter “YOU MUST” seek prior permission from Doodle Aid.

We would like at least one person at home with Duke to settle him into his new environment.

If you are homeworkers you will have to prepared if Duke barks ,for your attention if you are on a call or video call.

“AT NO TIME SHOULD A FOSTER DOG BE ALLOWED OFF THEIR LEAD”

Reason for this is common sense really, firstly the dog is the charities responsibility,if it knocks anyone over,or runs in front of car, attacks another dog or person ,or goes missing,we will be held accountable.

Dogs are not robots you never know what they may do.

If the foster would like to hire a private paddock, for off lead training please contact Doodle Aid.

Time and time again we have made this clear on the foster agreement and when talking to the fosters.

This is so important please respect the charities wishes.

If you are going on holiday, have weekends away planned or day trips please state on your application form.
