The potential owner would be requested to do several visits,before the adoption process takes place.

Brodie is an adorable boy and his owners have found this decision to rehome him very hard.

He is looking for a forever home due to an illness with the family ,and they cannot give Brodie the exercise and time he requires.

They have had to put Brodie needs first a very unselfish act ,as they love him so much.

Brodie to be an ONLY DOG in the household ,he has never lived with another dog.

Can live with children aged 10 and over ( please note children need to be respectful around Brodie at all times ,as they should be with any dogs)

Brodie cannot live with cats

We require a secure garden not communal

Male not neutered (will be contracted under our terms and conditions)

Height 27 inches approximately

Weight 34 Kgs

Microchipped has has been checked

Vaccinated booster due August 2024

Flea/tick and wormer up to date

Had Bi-lateral Cherry Eye (Surgery completed on 6th April 2023) fully recovered

No known allergies

Grooming Requirements

Soft curly coat,which is owners prefer clipped short

Brodie only sheds minimally,all dogs shed some amount

He is brushed every other day especially around his ears,muzzle and tail ,which he enjoys,but sometime times thinks it’s game

Has attended a professional groomers very 8 weeks.

Exercise

Brodie is exercised twice a day

He does go off his lead only in safe and secure area a private dog field,his recall is hit and miss (please note Doodle Aid does not recommend letting any rescue dog off lead,until you have 100% trust with each other)Brodie would benefit with some loose lead training and practice on his recall.

He walks reasonably on his lead ,but more training maybe beneficial.

Brodie attended Kennel Club puppy training classes and passed his grades.

He has also tried flyball but was too much for his owners,but he enjoyed the agility.

Brodie is interested in other dogs whilst out wants to play,if on his lead he gets over excited and jumpy due to wanting to play

General Information

Brodie is your typical fun loving,goofy,funny,happy,loving,affectionate,playful and energetic doodle.

He has the attention span of a flea,in the nicest possible way.

Brodie can be stubborn at times ,gets tunnel vision if he sees something interesting or something he wants.

He struggles with containing his excitement,can be humpy around other dogs (after being neutered hopefully this will resolve) and Brodie will learn no humpy

Has never shown an aggressive behaviour and has never bitten,can still puppy mouth and push ,this is all for attention.

He has a loud bark,due to his size, as he barks his tail is wagging.

Brodie is toilet trained,but as with any new rescue entering a new and strange environment please expect the unexpected.

Brodie sleeps in the kitchen /dining room

Never been destructive in his home

Can be left 2 to 3 hours maximum (as a charity we do not believe any dog should be left any longer than necessary) dogs are social animals and enjoy the company of humans.

Brodies owner have a camera in place whilst out and they can also talk to him via the camera.

Travels well in the car in a dog safety harness

No known dislikes at present

Likes water and to swim,lives the paddling pool and has attended a fun dog swimming sessions in a dog friendly pool.

Likes his Blue soft toy that has no arms or legs left, large soft sprout, large tennis ball, footballs. Loves enrichment games and enjoys his puppy blanket with treats stuffed in and rolled and knotted, also a odd shaped toy that dispenses treats when he rolls it

Brodie is a wonderful boy ,whom who every is lucky to become his new family ,will instantly be smitten with this charming boy.

He has a kind face which carries through to his kind nature,but needs a family whom understands he still needs some training in place.

All potential applicants will be subjected to a full vetting and a homecheck.

We would also require some form of identification at the time if the home check.

If you live in rented accommodation ,we will expect written proof that a dog can live within the property
